The Century team were delighted to win first prize at the Tylers & Bricklayers Triennial Awards 2024, for our work at College Road, Croydon. The award was specifically for installation of bespoke terracotta tiling on the feature columns running through the colonnade, as can be seen pictured above.

The award was presented to Century's Operations Manager, John O'Kane, pictured third from left in the top left hand photograph shown above. Commenting on the award, John said "this project was proposed to the worshipful company not only for its outstanding quality and striking aesthetics, but was also a celebration of the collaboration between all the parties who had the interest in turning the artistic concept into a manufactured and installed reality".

Century also designed and installed terracotta cladding, metal cladding, and glazing to both towers. Working for our client, Tide Construction, the College Road scheme, now known as Enclave, consists of two towers at 35 and 50 storey's constructed using volumetric modular methods supplied by Tide sister company, Vision Modular Systems.
